[Matiko]

Founded in 2003 by designer Jesse Howard, this LA based shoe label has a European quality and style with a SoCal eclecticism. In the last eight years, Matiko has had a huge following with fashion conscious women all over the states as well as internationally.  Weltenbuerger now carries a few styles by Matiko such as Blake and Cavala. Look out for more styles in the coming months.

[MoonSpoon Saloon]

Another designer label based out of LA would be Danish fashion collective MoonSpoon Saloon. A collaboration between designer Sara Sachs, artist Tal R and photographer Noam Griegst. This trio knows all about uniting art and clothing in their own peculiar way combining algebraic equations and whimsical imagination to their pieces.  MoonSpoon fashion is performance art, the focus being on the character behind the clothing. Their most recent collection Cabinet of Wound is inspired by “wounds of the soul”.  The lookbook for this collection has a dark voodoo/clown scrap book feel. Come by Weltenbuerger to check it out as well as the new Cabinet of Wound pieces.

[Nakkna]

Based out of Stockholm, Sweden, Nakkna was founded in 2003 by Camilla Sundin and Claes Berkes. Their vision: to make accessible, wearable, avant-garde pieces. Clean shapes, strong designs, complex construction and drapes, are qualities that are very apparent in the brand. Nakkna works with artists, musicians, and filmmakers keeping their upcoming lines creative and fresh. You can find some Passing Clouds Nakkna’s S/S 11 line here at Weltenbuerger.
